EtM Con Edison Composer-in-Residence Kento Iwasaki presented his public program on Jan. 18 at Flushing Town Hall.  On an icy, rainy day, Kento and his fellow artists pulled in a packed room to hear the Moon Princess Song Cycle and the first act of his “portable opera,” Beloved Prey, two pieces developed during the residency. Afterwards, EtM Executive Director David Johnston led a lively Q&A for Kento, his librettist-costume/mask designer Cris Ryan and set designer Alexis Kandra, (pictured above.)
