Read the Report: Queens Performing Artists & Workspace

David Johnston

Exploring the Metropolis (EtM) is thrilled to announce the release of its Queens Workspace Initiative report. For the last year, EtM has been assessing workspace needs for performing artists in Queens.  We’ve interviewed key players, sent out surveys, held focus groups and studied ways to help the Queens performing arts community grow and thrive.

Now we are ready to share what we’ve learned.

Watch David Johnston and Prentice Onayemi’s presentation of the results at the QWI Town Hall, June 27, 2014 at Jamaica Market in Queens:

Thanks to everyone who participated, advised and helped spread the word!

The Queens Workspace Initiative is funded by the David Rockefeller Fund and the Christian A. Johnson Endeavor Foundation.  The Queens Workspace Initiative is supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council. We are grateful to the Greater Jamaica Development Corporation for their generous donation of space for the Town Hall event at Jamaica Market.
