Brian Krock’s “Heart Machine” Debuts at Bloomingdale School of Music
On Thursday, June 26, EtM Con Edison Composer-in Residence Brian Krock premiered his new quartet “Heart Machine” in a concert of music composed during his 2013-14 EtM residency at Bloomingdale School of Music. The concert, hosted by BSM, was free and open to the public as the culminating program of Brian’s residency.
Brian, a recent Master’s recipient of Manhattan School of Music, led the brand-new ensemble through his hard-jazz compositions, taking the lead on alto sax and bass clarinet, with Adam O’Farrill on the trumpet, Sam Yulsman on piano and Jason Burger on drums.
We’ve got video from the performance and it’s worth your time.
