Robert Vuichard & Broadway Chamber Players at BSM

David Johnston

On Wednesday evening, May 14, EtM and Bloomingdale School of Music presented new compositions and arrangements by EtM Con Edison Composer-in-Residence Robert Vuichard, played by the Broadway Chamber Players.  This free program was the culmination of Vuichard’s fall residency at BSM, supported by Exploring the Metropolis. (Applications for the 2014-15 cycle are available now.)

BCP is a new group of instrumentalists, composers, and conductors, all of whom work regularly as Broadway pit musicians.

The Players performed new works and arrangements by Vuichard including In Memoriam: Lawrence Davis, a tribute to BSM’s longtime Director who passed away suddenly in fall 2013.
