One of our Composers-in-Residence is a Finalist for the Freakin’ Pulitzer

David Johnston

Here at EtM, we are incredibly proud that one of our 2013-14 Con Edison Composers-in-Residence, Christopher Cerrone, was just named a finalist for a Pulitzer Prize in Music.  Chris was in residence last fall at Brooklyn Youth Chorus Academy, when his opera Invisible Cities premiered in Los Angeles.

Christopher had a memorable outburst on Twitter yesterday when informed of his finalist status.

Plans are in the works for his final program in May at BYCA.  We will keep you posted.

In the meantime, enjoy this video interview with Chris last fall!
