Applications and Guidelines Available for Con Edison Musicians’ Residencies

David Johnston

The wait is over, people.   The applications are here.  We have four – count ’em, four – facilities for residencies for composers.  We’re partnering again with Flushing Town Hall and Turtle Bay Music School, and have added Church Street School for Music and Art and our first Brooklyn facility, Brooklyn Youth Chorus Academy.

We’ll be offering eight composers three months of free workspace in these facilities, plus a stipend.

Go here for applications and guidelines.  The deadline is June 1, 2011.

We’re grateful to the funders that have made this program possible; corporate funder Consolidated Edison, lead foundation funders the George L. Shields Foundation and the Christian A. Johnson Endeavor Foundation, the Reed Foundation, AOH Foundation, and individuals.
