A Year of Premieres for Steven Rosenhaus
- 2010 Con Edison Composer-in-Residence Steven Rosenhaus
From Grace, today’s guest blogger. “Steven Rosenhaus, 2010 Con Edison Composer-in-Residence, is having a banner year. An incredibly prolific and diverse composer, arranger, conductor, author and educator, Steven boasts (for now) five premieres across the U.S. and abroad. We are particularly excited about his upcoming New York City performances, including two free public programs with our partners at Flushing Town Hall – featuring the U.S. Navy Band Northeast on May 24th and pianist Laura Leon on June 5th – plus the premiere of “Accordances” (Symphony No. 2) on May 21st, commissioned and performed by the New York Repertory Orchestra.
We will be posting Steven’s busy concert schedule and details in future blog and Facebook posts, so please visit us often.
P.S. For those who are travelling to Italy in early May, please drop by the Naples Conservatory on May 9th for the debut of Steven’s New Work for Concert Band, performed by the U.S. Naval Forces Europe Band.”
