One of our favorite organizations is Make Music New York, run by the indefatigable Aaron Friedman. It takes place every year around the summer solstice – June 21 – and it’s an all day festival of free music across the five boroughs.  2011 will be the fifth year, and we are always happy to promote  MMNY in whatever way we can.

So – if you play or sing or you’re ready to try out that jazz trio or chamber group or drumming circle or punk cover band – check out their site and sign up for their mailing list. It’s a great kick off to NYC summer.
