Sketches of Spain

David Johnston

El Progresso in Spain has called him “one of the foremost composers of classical music” and O Sil calls him “one of the most outstanding musicians of his generation.”  Con Edison 2010 Composer in Residence Octavio Vazquez gives a free public performance at Turtle Bay Music School on Tuesday January 25 at 7 PM.  Vazquez will be performing works composed during his residency at Turtle Bay.

And while you’re at, listen to a free preview of Vazquez’s haunting Piano Trio No. 1 Guernica with the Flatiron Trio. Great stuff.  See you at Turtle Bay next Tuesday.
